Well, technically, it’s actually already May, but the Justin Timberlake meme cracks me up so here we are. Month five of 2025 is here … are we ready to take it on? I don’t know that we have much choice. So let’s go!

Sunday
- Cardio: 4.66 miles, walking
Sunday Funday! I had a really lovely walk, even if it was a little later than I hoped. A few hectic mornings made it challenging to get out.

I went home to shower and change, and then wrapped up with my last client of the weekend. It’s always fun but I was ready for a night in my own bed.
Monday
- Cardio: 7.48 miles, running
And we were back in the regular routine. Yay. I treated myself to a nice long run, and it was so healing.

I spent the day cleaning, tidying, and doing laundry, while catching upon some work. It’s always a fun time.
Tuesday
Cardio: 6.27 miles, running + walking
And today, I’m the mom of a 17 year old. How did that happen? His girlfriend came over super early to decorate the loft for him, so a sunrise run wasn’t at all out of the question.

It was also nail appointment day! I needed a reschedule, so I was so ready!

A wanted Korean meatballs and fried rice for dinner, and we celebrated with a chocolate and peanut butter frozen custard cake. He said it was a great day, and that’s all that mattered.

Wednesday
- Cardio: 5.9 miles, walking
- Strength: legs + abs, 40 minutes
It was a beautiful morning for a walk.

And finally! I was able to get back to the gym! Even better, I thought it would be super crowded because I had to go around noon, but apparently, that’s the sweet spot! My body was NOT happy with the weights, but it will get over it and we will get back to a regular routine!
Thursday
- Cardio: 6.26 miles, running + walking
- Strength: arms + abs, 40 minutes
I’m really trying to get up and out early so that my mornings aren’t quite so rushed. But I’m also tired. So that’s the tightrope I am walking.

Another noon gym sesh, and this one was punishing. My upper body is back to wet noodle phase and I am not about it one bit. Yes, I am still sore, and kind of discouraged, but one hard day isn’t defining this endeavor. Our next attempt will be better.
I checked into another overnight sit with one of my favorite doggos. I mean, they’re all my favorites, but this is my friend’s pup, so he a favorite favorite.
Friday
- Cardio: 5.14 miles, running
This was a crappy run. I was sore and my right foot hurt. Yuck. I tried to be positive because it was in a new neighborhood, but I was dragging.

Lots of moving parts this weekend. I left one client and moved on to another, so very little turnaround to repack. I’m still trying to make that process little more efficient. However, the weekend promises to be very lovely.
Saturday
- Cardio: 4.06 miles, walking
Happy Prom Day! Of course, I started my morning with a nice walk. Yep, another new place to stretch my legs. I love it.

And then it was time to wait for the prom prep! Such an exciting night!
Thoughts + Goals
I confess this year has not been super exciting, or even particularly positive. Things happen and I’ve been trying to roll with them as best I can. My goal is to get back to myself. I’m going to take care of myself a little better. Boundaries are gettin set. I’m not going to burn out and I’m going to adhere to expectations. It’s necessary for my sanity.
That being said, I do have a lot to look forward to this week, and I’m excited to have good things on the horizon.I’m the kind of person who needs bright spots in the future, and I think this week may help a bit.
